Spiritual principles, while true from a purely energetic standpoint, don’t take into consideration our embodied reality. This can lead to avoiding situations that are patiently waiting to be integrated.
Trying to be “high vibrational” when feeling angry, frustrated, or sad can lead to what some call spiritual bypass. It’s never been more important to address that which is beneath the surface – the unseen energy patterns that connect us with others.
I fell into this trap for years. I would have a fight with my then husband and try to meditate my way out of frustration. It never worked and usually led to me feeling ashamed about my lack of spiritual prowess.
Feeling our feelings, taking responsibility for our patterns and expressing ourselves the best way we know how is the way to remain clear inside. Glossing over the reality of a situation leads to a stress backlog that eventually needs to be processed and released. We’re all a little messy inside and allowing ourselves to be less than perfect while navigating life’s gritty bits allows us to truly evolve and remain in our natural flow state.
