Almost everyone I know is in transition right now. Something is changing… The truth is that as the world changes, we are changing too. Transformation can be difficult to navigate. It can bring up anxiety, obsessive thinking, denial, and escapism.
I’ve been dealing with escapism all summer. It’s like I want to crawl out of my skin, so I go to Denver, cut my hair, visit my sister up north, etc. But each time I return from my internal or external adventure I’m left with the same feeling: uncertainty mixed with a little discomfort.
When we change, our environments need to change to reflect who we are at our essence. Sometimes this happens organically but often we need to step up and show up differently–as our new selves and not our old selves.
This act of courage and integrity is what energetically informs others and our environment that it’s time for an upgrade on all fronts.
If you would like support as you navigate this uncertain time, consider joining my new Transitions Group that starts on Saturday 8/7. We (8 people max) meet once a week for four weeks to explore the changes going on in our inner and outer worlds and how to navigate this change with greater ease and grace.
