I don’t know about you, but when I’m in the midst of a big transition it can be difficult to just relax. So when I found myself up North over the weekend with my daughter, siblings and seven nephews, getting into “sit around and chill” mode was a bit challenging.
The first night was the toughest… I found myself in bed wondering if I would make it for all three nights. I know it sounds strange – vacations are suppose to be fun and carefree, and usually they are for me, but this time I just felt like I needed to be home taking care of business.
What ultimately helped me relax and enjoy the beautiful company and surroundings was repeating the word “Love” in my mind.
This mantra – love, love, love – caused my heart to open. I actually felt it relax and expand. I also felt energy moving in my body, which is always a good thing. It’s a surprising anti-anxiety remedy that I wanted to share.
As you all know, I’m a firm believer in affirmations, but this one might be the most powerful of all. It even got me through ripping out the seat of my pants while climbing a rock:)
Bless,
Kim
